In January, Facebook will provide an incentive, in the form of a $50 rebates to 200,000 small businesses to apply towards an advertisement on their web pages.</p><p>Internet and law firm marketing companies often use Facebook pages to reach a wider audience, but many small businesses don’t actually pay for advertising space.</p><p>To attract the advertising dollars from small businesses Facebook will have to prove that an ad space will result in new customers. Because Facebook has millions of users, people who specialize in internet marketing find that posts and likes can drive people to websites. With over 9.2 million small business pages on Facebook, that get a lot of attention from people, who share these pages with friends, it may be difficult for Facebook to convince these businesses to shell out money from their already tight budgets for advertising space.</p><div

While not everyone may want to admit it, we all love to keep our friends updated with what we are doing throughout the day, checking into our favorite restaurants for lunch, posting pictures and all the other fun things that Facebook and other social media sites allow us to do.</p><p>Social media sites can even be accessed through phones and even some TVs these days.
