A survey conducted in the UK showed that people who began using social media early on are experiencing boredom.

In the U.S. and abroad the use of social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter seems to be growing trend. But many people mostly between 19 and 29 are experience social media fatigue and are visiting the sites less. On the upside, more of the tech savvy users are logging in more often.

The prevalent use of social networking has compelled many internet and law marketing firms to include these websites in their advertising strategies. Google also saw the value of social networking and recently introduced Google +. Millions of people worldwide visit these sites every day and often access webpages via links posted on these websites.

Among the 6,000 respondents to the survey by Gartner Inc., 40 percent of users are visiting their sites regularly, but 40 percent also admitted to visiting these sites less than when they first started. Only 20 percent of have declined their usage in more established markets like the US, UK and Japan.

It is important for the administrators of these sites, and brands which use them for internet marketing make certain they keep content fresh and keep users engaged.

Though some early users are experiencing social media fatigue, these sites still have gain new users on a daily basis so it is still crucial for internet marketing.
