Digital Age Marketing Group Legal Internet Marketing Marjorie Clark talks business and Internet marketingMarjorie Clark and her husband Darren decided to create a website for an art gallery years ago but couldn’t figure out what to call it. Looking around the room, they noticed a fish tank and that’s when Little Fish Studios was created.

Little did Marjorie know then that legal Internet marketing would become her life. These days, the web marketing guru has taken on the entire web development effort and is helping other businesses and non-profits flourish by optimizing their sites.

“The web site is the center of your marketing strategy,” said Clark, who believes that no matter what product or service you offer, you should have a successful legal Internet marketing campaign to help attract clients to your business. “Everybody’s got a computer. They’re walking around with them in their pockets now.”

Clark, who originally went to school for hairdressing, wasn’t always the savvy web master she is today. She received a Bachelor’s degree in fine arts from the University of Connecticut and went on to obtain a Master of Fine Arts degree from the Yale School of Drama in 1991.

After college, Clark worked as a theater stage manager, a secretary at Lehman Brothers and a floral designer until she became a mother in 1997. It was during that time that her husband Darren, who was managing the web design operation, felt it was too much for him to take on. This was Clark’s first dabble with legal Internet marketing, but it certainly wouldn’t be her last.

Clark taught herself everything she needed to know about online marketing, including how to use Dreamweaver and PhotoShop and even learning how to write HTML code.

“You don’t have to go for years and years of schooling to figure this out,” she said, encouraging others to do the same.

As easy as it sounds, Clark explains that all it really takes to run a successful online marketing campaign is to create fresh content for the sites on a regular basis. The content does not have to be lengthy, but it does have to be new and continuous.

“It’s not that you create a lot, but you have to keep creating it,” she said.

That, in a nutshell, is what she brings to the table with her marketing company. Clark helps create new and interesting content for her clients’ sites that will increase their ranking online.

In addition, Clark devotes time to teaching small business owners the basics of legal Internet marketing and how best to use tools like SEO and social media to their advantage.

“Education is a big part of what I do,” she said. “I leave my brain available to be picked.”
